Our friendly staff at The Forum Mountmellick, County Laois. Ireland are available to provide guests with information on our services and those services available within the town of Mountmellick and neighbouring towns. Brochures are made available in the Forum Church Common room and in the Coach House. 
 
Our aspirations are to ensure that we meet the high expectations of our guests and improve service standards where possible.
 
We invite feedback or recommendations where we can improve the information provided.
 
We especially wish to hear good stories but we can only improve on the basis of poor experiences, so please let us know.
 
 

Eating In or Out

The Forum Church/Manse  has a large commercial kitchen with modern cooking facilities and a large medieval style dining area. The facility is designed for self-catering to for individuals or as a group . 
 
The Coach House has its own well equipped kitchen with all utensils provided. 
 
An ample supply of plates, cutlery and cooking utensils are available in both the Forum Church and Forum Coach House. Please email us on any recommendations you may have to make your stay more pleasant.
 
For dining out during the day, we recommend:

Note:  For groups please make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment.

 
A short 6 km drive from Mountmellick to the neighbouring town Portlaoise offers at least ten restaurants to suit all budgets.

There are several nearby local pubs with music entertainment at the weekends
 
 

Local Attractions

There are numerous local attractions both in and around Mountmellick. Please see our day trip, events and experiences section on our website.
 
A car is essential for the majority of these attractions.
 
Brochures of all local attractions are displayed within each Forum accommodation. But, please ask if there is something specific you wish fulfil on your visit as the Forum staff will helpfully assist with queries on local sistes of interest.

24-7 Check in is available with prior notice where access information will be provided. 
 

Check Out?

Check Out is at 11am
 
If you wish to check out later than normal 11am, please contact the Forum on +353 (0) 578697557 or text +353 (0) 858836402 prior to the day of arrival and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
 

Internet Access

Wireless internet is available throughout the buildings but we do advise that the building is constructed of deep stone walls.  So please expect sme areas will have better connectivity than others. The public areas have good coverage. 
 

Fire Precautions

The properties are protected by automatic fire detection and alarm systems 
In the event of fire-alarm activation, Guests are required to vacate immediately and proceed immediately to the fire assembly point which is via the front door at at the left of the Building.
 

Doctors and Dentists

A list of local doctors and dentists is available at each property.  An emergency doctor call out will incur a charge.
 

Baby Cots

A limited number of cots are available on request. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment. There is no extra charge.
 

Taxi

Local taxis are available, A member of staff will be happy to advise regarding taxis.
 

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in all properties.
