The planned refurbishment of a magnificent Georgian townhouse found in the Mountmellick Georgian Square.
This protected structure was the former home of the Goodbody Family, renowned quakers and tanning merchants in Mountmellick in the period 1780-1855 prior to Robert Goodbody moving to County Offaly, where they established their main business in Clara.
The Forum Mountmellick -The Square is currently under design development and awaiting planning permission will provide an exciting addition to our existing tourist accommodation.
The premises will provide eight high quality double bedrooms all with separate ensuites providing power showers and instant hot water. In addition, it will provide a separate Mews house providing two separate apartments, opening out to the rear garden.
The current plans also include a small restaurant (Subject to planning approval), a much needed facility to compliment the town. The design will be based on a fully inclusive and universally accessible facility for all to enjoy this new community hub.
